Something To Look At (Post#2) : Worth Of A Tree

When I visited Eden Nature Park in Toril Davao City last March 2009, while walking around in a nature park, I saw this message which at first I did not care what it says until something buried in my memory which is the word ‘worth’ and numbers which I thought like an amount of money. With that in mind, I approach the message board and look at it in detail. As I read it, I felt surprise and stunned because I never realised the actual worth of a tree in terms of money. Yes, I knew a tree is important in terms of ecological balance and it’s other significant uses, but to understand or measure it by amount of money, I never really thought about it. For me the message is really a profounding wisdom.

Home (Post#14) : Sibulan River

After Mount Apo trek, I stayed in Davao for another 3 days so that I can see more of Davao. One of my mountaineer friends stayed behind as well as he will also spend holidays in Davao at that time. One of the side trip that I did with my friend were water tubing and snorkelling in Santa Cruz Davao del Sur. Sibulan River was the river we visited to experience water tubing and the whole group enjoyed the adventure with the rapids of the river. Photo captured last March 2009.

Precious Moment In The Mountain (Post#14) : Mount Apo Boulders

Mount Apo is the Highest Mountain in my country. I only knew this mountain by its name and by being the highest mountain. I never imagine before that time will come that I will be able to reach the summit of this mountain. I will never forget a risk life climb that I experienced on this magnificent mountain. Photo above was the boulder parts before reaching the crater and summit of the mountain which captured last March 2009.

Home (Post#10): Cagayan De Oro River

When we set to climb Mount Hibok-Hibok in Camiguin Island, the whole group flew to Cagayan de Oro where we will take the boat to Camiguin. And since we were already in Cagayan de Oro or famously known as CDO, we did a side trip in the place. The photo above was taken during white water rafting last October 2012. I learned from our guide, that the river serves as natural boundary between Bukidnon and Iligan, and between Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro. Our adventure categorized as medium level based on where we started the rafting in the river. While doing the adventure I was really fascinated how wild the river is, how beautiful and clean it is. I actually fall in love with the river.
