Hong Kong, one of the main reason why we traveled here was because of Disneyland. Disneyland is a magical place in the essence that you witness magical characters and its settings that we only saw in TV and movies. Sometimes dreaming in our life is important to make us happy and inspire to continue our journey. Yes, maybe a lot of things and happenings in Disneyland story are impossible to happen but sometimes our life involves with magic on its own.

I spent two-week vacation back to my country when I was still working in Singapore. And one of my vacation itinerary was to return to Baguio City. It was my third time and first time to my mother and youngest sister to visit the coldest city in my country. Part of our tour in the said city was the famous school where most of brave knights of my country came from which is none other than Philippine Military Academy (known as PMA). The photo above is one of the attraction to see inside the PMA which is the Cavaliers Park. I captured this photo last May 2010.

I remembered that during my almost a year work in Singapore, one of the activities that I replaced for traveling in a city-island country was Badminton. I saw that Community Club is one way of the government to make people active since no mountains to trek in Singapore. And climbing a mountain was just one of the things that I really missed in my own country. Photo above was Tampines West Community Club which captured last March 2010.

Precious Moment In The Mountain : Mount Buller

Precious Moment In The Mountain (Post#8) : Mount Buller

I don’t know how to ski and never got a chance to learn this one as we don’t have alpine mountain back home. My country is tropical country and what we have are tropical mountains. I still dream that one day I may learn skiing. The photo above was the farthest point that I can take around Mount Buller in terms of how near I am in the summit of the mountain which is the Blue Bullet station where skier or sightseeing visitors can take a chairlift or ride up to the summit of the mountain. And at that time, the people in the queue were all skiers.

And aside from tobogganing, the next thing I can do is to take photos in the area. As too many people in the mountain and since its high peak season for the skier, I never got a chance to do basics skiing as we have a short period of time to spend in the mountain. But I really loved the snow which one of the unique experience I had in Mount Buller. Photo captured last August 2013.

When I stayed for a while in Melbourne City, one of the event that I experienced was Melbourne Open House which happened once a year. During the event, many government, private, historical, church, commercial and even office buildings and structures are open for public viewing. I loved Open House because the event gave me a chance to enter to different buildings openly and for free. One of the building that I visited was Queen Victoria Women’s Centre which was a former Queen Victoria Hospital. The centre is a non-profit organization that provides information, support and resources for Victorian women and women’s organization. I captured this photo last July 2013 during Melbourne Open House.

During my stay in Edmonton, one of the things that I tried in the city as experience and another way to look around Edmonton was riding the High Level Bridge Streetcar. The said bridge is located near Alberta Provincial Legislature Building. The photo captured when I got a chance to visit the capital city of Alberta which is Edmonton last June 2008. The bridge is now one of the tourist spot in the city because of its significant history.

As per Wikipedia, High Level Bridge links separate communities of Edmonton and Strathcona which combined to become Edmonton City today. The bridge was designed to accommodate rail, streetcar, automobile and pedestrian.
